We want to support you to begin a journey to reclaiming better mental wellbeing.

Thank you for finding us.

Improved wellbeing starts here

At Reclaim Therapy, we provide quality mental health care from a doctoral-level psychologist with 10 years of NHS experience. We offer support by providing therapy, webinars, training and consultation spaces to individuals and services.

a holistic approach

It’s essential that our clients are provided a service that looks at the whole person, not just the difficulties they have experienced. We ensure the support offered considers our clients’ physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing.

Anti-discriminatory practice

We are committed to providing an anti-discriminatory service.

We stand firmly against all forms of discrimination and prejudice and believe in dignity and respect for all individuals, regardless of their personal characteristics and circumstances. We ensure that support offered is intersectional and present throughout all our work with clients to reflect the needs of the wide communities we support.

How i can help

Using compassion, collaboration, curiosity, and empathy, I have worked with individuals across the lifespan addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, and bereavement. Using these approaches, I have supported clients who feel stuck in repeated patterns, or want help identifying their feelings and behaviours.

how i work

I have a background in a range of therapies including Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy. I specialise in working with clients with longstanding mood difficulties, emotional dysregulation, trauma, and relationship /attachment difficulties. I enjoy providing psychologically-informed training, webinars, and consultation to organisations to improve the psychological wellbeing of team members.

publications

Dr Naima Fowlis is committed to contributing to research focused on improving the wellbeing of those marginalised in society. Working in a hospital throughout the pandemic, she had the privilege of exploring the benefit of reflective practice spaces for pharmacists, who were a particularly impacted, yet overlooked, profession during this time. She began her research journey exploring the voices of abuse survivors of high-profile offenders and how media spotlight on these cases creates an additional layer of complexity in relation to the discourse of victim blaming. Most recently, her research has explored use of PrEP as HIV prevention amongst those most at risk: adolescent girls and young women in South Africa.
